Beetoobee, Dailyhub, or Diigo?

Is social bookmarking as a mature market? A squidoo lens lists over 150 services. Surely, the next step must be to segment bookmarking into niches?
Beetoobee, as the specialised social bookmarking service for b2b professionals (’digg for b2b’) continues to identify the gems on its front page. Dailyhub does the same for a broader niche topic.
But general bookmarking services strike back with a vengeance. Several sites now allow the creation of groups, where a user or group of users can share bookmarks on a topic, and produce an rss feed of the result. This can be great for a project team collecting intelligence on a subject. Also individuals can use groups to split their bookmarks into separate themes (e.g. personal, professional, a particular hobby, …).
Some services that offer groups:
- Simpy, a great tool to post bookmarks to multiple groups, but with one big disadvantage for b2b: the resulting rss feed comes with embedded advertisements
- Blinklist comes with Blinklist spaces, but unfortunately also with advertisements
- Diigo has most of the features of above tools, with a toolbar for productivity. You can highlight relevant content on a webpage, and these highlights are stored for subsequent visits.
B2B marketing blog has created a diigo group on marketing. Drop me a comment if you would like to join the group.
