Writing White Papers

A book, a white paper, a blog, a community
White papers can be extremely powerful marketing instruments. But since they require thought leadership, they’re not easy to write. And their use comes with many pitfalls. Michael Stelzer’s book on the subject provides a practical and accessible guide. In particular, I appreciated:
- its definition of white papers, and their appropriate use
- the template outline of white papers - a powerful recipe
- research white papers - a section where we can all learn something new
- the excellent chapter on choosing a title
- the appendix with selected & highly relevant white paper resources
If you’re a writer of white papers, or commissioning their writing, this book is for you. Practicing what he preaches, Michael also offers a white paper “How to Write a White Paper“, which is used a a marketing tool to introduce the book.
Beyond the book and white paper, there is a community to help you developing your white paper business, or integrating white papers into your marketing programme.
