Continuing the blog-tag game into 2008
Jan 14th, 2008 by Hans De Keulenaer
Ardeth Albee from Marketing Interactions blog-tagged me to share 8 random things, imposing me to a small dilemma. While I’m usually game for trying new experiments on the web, I’m also a rather private person. So here’s the result of my struggle:
- I love great food. Fortunately, my wife is also a great cook, to the extent I’m rarely surprised in restaurants. And she doesn’t read blogs, so I didn’t have to say this.
- I’m an out-of-the-box thinker, to the extent that it’s often difficult to get back into the box. And yes, often that’s not good.
- I love to read - and prefer somebody’s distilled thoughts over years (or sometimes a lifetime) any time of the day over a random person’s ramblings at a cocktail party.
- I love opera, and studied even Italian to better appreciate its prose. But I also like rock and rap - I guess all extreme forms of music.
- I’m a sustainable energy evangelist. Energy has not always been as much on top of the political and media agenda as it is today, and I wonder whether it will in 10 years from now.
- I hate sports and cellphones. One can live very well without cellphone. As for sports, I should …
- When I was studying Italian in Tuscany, my host drank wine with every single meal of the day. He got it from the deep Tuscan country side, in a jerry can, and drank it 50% diluted with water (probably for health reasons). That’s real wine culture, as opposed to a ‘wine & cheese’ evening.
- Like Ardeth, I was struggling with this last one, possibly because I wanted to use it to get another 8. But wishes are not granted in the blog-tag game.
The other part of the game is to pass the invitation to a few fellow bloggers, so here’s a few people I’d like to learn a bit more from:
Dave Jung, from B2Blog, now running well into its 6th year, and as long as he continues, he’ll remain well ahead of many of us.
Philippe Borremans, from Conversationblog, who is starting a new marketing adventure this year.
Matt Dickman, from Techno//Marketer, who does amazing things, making them appear amazingly simple.
